Worked directly with the client to understand their vision for a natural-looking water feature that would complement the surrounding Okanagan landscape rather than feel manufactured or ornamental.
Reviewed long-term maintenance expectations, seasonal performance, and how the feature would integrate with the broader outdoor space.
Design and Planning
Developed a custom design for a multi-tier natural stone waterfall, carefully scaled to the property and positioned to take advantage of existing elevation changes.
Planned stone placement, water flow, and basin layout to create a realistic cascade effect while ensuring stability and proper circulation. Consider local climate conditions, including freeze–thaw cycles, to ensure long-term durability.
Installation and Construction
Constructed the water feature using large natural boulders and stacked stone, hand-placed to achieve a balanced, organic appearance.
Completed site preparation, base construction, and drainage to support the weight and movement of stone and water. Installed the circulation system and ensured consistent water flow across multiple levels.
